D.U.I. COURT COORDINATOR/PROBATION OFFICER

Potter County is seeking a qualified applicant for the full-time position of D.U.I. Court Coordinator/Probation Officer within the Potter County Probation Department.

The D.U.I. Court Coordinator/Probation Officer plays an important role in supporting the Court and coordinating the County’s D.U.I. Court program, while also providing supervision and case management services to individuals placed on probation and other court-ordered supervision. This position reports directly to the Judge and Chief Probation Officer.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating D.U.I. Court activities and requirements, supervising individuals placed on probation or other court-ordered supervision, conducting investigations and assessments, maintaining accurate case records, preparing reports and recommendations for the Court, monitoring compliance with court-ordered conditions, coordinating with treatment providers and community agencies, communicating with individuals under supervision and their families, and appearing in court as required.

The position requires professionalism, sound judgment, confidentiality, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with the Court, attorneys, law enforcement, treatment providers, community agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications

· Minimum possession of a Bachelor’s degree, either in Criminal Justice or Social Services curriculum, with a minimum of fifteen (15) credits of Criminal Justice courses.
